Tiki-licious

Did you know that Nottingham has it's very own tiki bar??? Centrally located on Broad Street right opposite Broadway Cinema Bad Papa's Tiki Shack is a great place to go on your night out and often has lots of special offers, check out the website for more information. The extensive cocktail menu is amazing with tonnes of choice or if you prefer the talented bar staff will whip up a refreshing mocktail for you instead.

my delicious strawberry mocktail

Inspired by South Pacific and Dorothy Lamour we decided to dress for the occasion and wear our best sarong dresses, mine is from Vivien of Holloway and is one of my absolute favourite dresses. Accessorise with hair flowers, bamboo bangles and hopefully sunshine!!! Fellas can wear their favourite Hawaiian shirts but I would recommend leaving the coconut bra at home guys!!! We were asked for our pictures several times on the night and felt like minor celebrities for the evening........how fabulous!!!

Vintage to a Tea

Have any other Nottingham shoppers visited the latest vintage store in town yet??? Vintage to a Tea is located on Trinity Walk, a side street near the Cornerhouse complex and although small in size it is BIG on vintage. Lots of handpicked vintage clothing and accessories from different eras tempt you into spending your hard earned cash.....and usually succeed!!!!

I visited on Saturday and treated myself to a post payday purchase, this super cute, super soft and totally adorable vintage cardigan. cropped at waist length with elbow length sleeves this is perfect for work, casual or going out and can be worn with almost anything. SO glad I popped in.......

So pay it a visit next time you're in town....you won't regret it.

Autumnal Adventuring

On Sunday I took Doris on another vintage bike ride in Nottingham. It was a glorious Autumn day with sunshine aplenty and leaves of beautiful colours all over. Well planned 'secret' route with literary stopping off points and lunch at an inspired choice of venue. Nothing better for 40 vintage cyclists out for an adventure. Here's a picture of myself and 2 lovely friends sharing a 'moment', enjoy.........
